Every now and then there is an opportunity to take advantage of these used golf cars and being an E-Z-GO distributor. After a fleet of 2005 electric golf cars were retired, LEGC wanted to find a way to bring these back to life and out them on the market. ‘

The initial thought was to add new batteries and replace any part that was needed to ensure the golf car would be dependable for the next consumer. This would have worked, however, there was a current shortage of gas golf cars, which are always in high demand. Gas golf cars are popular for outdoor uses and all day uses due to their ease of refueling. So after working with E-Z-GO, LEGC decided to purchase some Gas Golf Car conversion kits. This is how they would meet the high demand for gas golf cars. 

Gas conversion kits consist of the gas-powered engine and the transmission. This involves stripping the electric golf car down to the frame and removing all of the electrical components. This includes removing the batteries, battery tray, and rear axle. The frame is then inspected to make sure it is safe. If any repairs are needed, they are made. Once repaired, the frame is pressure washed and painted to protect it before installing the new rear axle and engine. After that, a new body is installed with a light package and new body with a rear seat.
