Lake Erie Golf Cars was proud to sponsor this year’s Panerathon which raised the event total to nearly $4 million dollars to help support the Mercy Health Foundation Mahoning Valley. The Panerathon is a 10k run and 2 mile fun run that takes place in downtown Youngstown. This race supports runners of all ages so everyone can be involved and part of the event. The foundation helps the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center at St. Elizabeth Hospital, which is a first  for this region.

The day was a great one for running even if you got a little wet along the way. It was a cool 68 degrees and the runners put on a performance. This year’s winner for Men in the 2-mile race was Alan Burns who ran the race in 11:24. The women’s winner was Suzanne Rupe with a time of 13:51. Congrats to the 2-miles race winners and their outstanding times. The 10k winners for the men and women were Andy Morgan with a time of 32:22:6 and Bakan Are with a time of 36:57:9.

All of the participants were heroes however, because each person helped contribute to a worthwhile cause.

Lake Erie Golf Cars was out there repping the brand though, giving away custom pedometers and water bottles. The day was a great one for networking and showcasing some golf cars as well. There were a few new E-Z-GO® golf cars on display for everyone to see America’s number one golf car in person.

Lake Erie Golf Cars is proud to sponsor local events through donations or the use of golf cars if needed. If you are interested in us sponsoring your event in the Youngstown or Warrensville Heights areas, contact us at joepowell@legolfcars.com and include the information.
