Barrington Golf Club Hosts the Northern Ohio Folds of Honor
Lake Erie Golf Cars is always looking for ways to give back to our community and its residents. We are proud supporters of our military and the duty they provide for us and our country. We are enthusiastic to be a part of an event at Barrington Golf Club in Aurora, Ohio. This event is in support of Folds of Honor.
What is Folds of Honor?
Spouses and children of military members who have fallen or been disabled wile serving in the United States Armed Forces are provided scholarships by Folds of Honor, which is a nonprofit organization. The scholarships are to support education like private school tuition or tutoring in grades K-12. Also available is tuition for college, technical or trade schools, and post-graduate work, including a master’s degree, doctorate, or professional program.
When Did This Begin?
In 2007 Lt Col Dan Rooney founded the organization. Since it has begun, they have been able to award nearly 44,00 scholarships totaling nearly $200 million to the spouses and family members of those who have fallen or been disabled. Lake Erie Golf Cars also sponsored a hole-in-one challenge on the 3rd hole. If anyone got a hole in one, they won. a free golf car! Yes! This is the golf car in the image. Maybe you should start working on using those irons now, lol. This is an E-Z-GO RXV in forest green with rims, tires, and golf accessories. There was also a family who parachuted out of an airplane and were attached to a skydiver. Such a wonderful event for such a deserving cause.
