LEGC Proudly Supports the 40th Kenny Novak Section Championship

The golf season is in full-swing and the sun is shining brightly in Aurora, Ohio at Club Walden. Not only is the sun shining brightly, but so are some of the area’s rising stars in the 40th Kenny Novak Section Championship.   

On Tuesday, July 25 and Wednesday, July 26 the 36-hole competition will begin. Boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 19 will be competing in the last junior event of the season. This competition will be used as a deciding factor for the NOPGA Junior Players-of-the-Year Award. Winners of each of the sections events are automatically invited to the Kenny Novak Section Championship. 

Kenny Novak sadly lost his life while saving one of his friends from drowning. This tournament was established in 1984 and is to honor the memory of Kenny Novak. Kenny was a popular employee and his family were also members of Club Walden. It is here at Club Walden that they proudly present the 40th Kenny Novak Section Championship. 

Lake Erie Golf Cars is proud to support the 40th Kenny Novak scholarship day along with the Northern Ohio PGA.  Great way to support the day and see golf’s bright future with young ladies and men competing.  Congratulations to Walden for being a terrific host.  Best of luck to the young ladies and men Tuesday/Wednesday.
