Should I buy a golf cart storage cover and get it stored?

It’s been raining more than typical summer months and you have your golf cart at home, and it’s stuck in the rain. You are contemplating whether you want to sacrifice the wash you just got on your vehicle and park it in the drive, or let your golf cart weather the storm. Oh yes, pun intended. Maybe a storage cover could be your solution.

Storage covers are a great way to preserve your golf cart and keep it dry. No one wants to sit in a soggy seat is a bumpy golf cart. The result makes for an uncomfortable day that no ones wants to be a part of. Having a storage cover will make sure your golf cart is dry and ready for the early tee time. There is also the added benefit of protecting the mechanical and electrical workings of the golf cart. Standing water on the batteries can cause corrosion which leads to a less than optimal performance.

But what about trapping in the moisture underneath of the cart? This is a real concern for long term storage of your cart outside. This is a real concern when storing your cart outside and using a storage cover. Your seats can saturate causing rot and decay. This also depend on your climate and geography. Some of the drier areas may be able to store their cart outside year round covered, and not have to worry about it. But what about the northern states  or states that experience rain and snow seasonally?

Inside storage may be your best bet to combat the elements and preserve your golf carts functionality and beauty. Many new homes inside golf communities have a smaller third garage for their cart. This may not be an option for you. Others choose to get a shed to store it in. This is a good way to keep all of your golf necessities for the course or your cart. This also means you would have to have the area and ability to get a shed for it. That isn’t the last option though.

Lake Erie Golf Cars does winter storage for your golf cart. It isn’t just winter storage though. They offer tune ups and oil changes for gas golf carts and safety inspections for electric golf carts. The safety inspection continues as they look over all the mechanics on your golf cart. All of the electric carts are also charged and cycled throughout the winter to optimize the life of your batteries. As if that wasn’t enough, your car will be picked up on a set date and then delivered towards the beginning of the season, fully detailed and ready for action.
