LEGC BLOG WINTER

The lovely Ohio winter weather is upon us. One day is full of rain, the next is sunny, and then its snowy. Sometimes all in the same day! The great part about it is the ability to still utilize your golf cart on the more mild days. The course may be closed, but maybe you want to smack a few arty the range, take a drive around the neighborhood, or maybe traverse that long driveway to get the mail. You know the driveway. The one you thought was such great idea 20 years ago but now seems to be getting further away each day. But it order to make the best use of your golf cart during the winter, you will want to invest in a few accessories.

Aggressive tread tires are a staple for winter use. There is inconsistent ground due to saturation and you don’t want to be stuck spinning your tires and making ruts. There are multiple brands and options available so it is best to speak to someone in our parts department to ask which would suit your make, model, and needs. In most cases, lifted golf carts will already have tires more suited for all terrains. There are also options for tires that are a bit more aggressive for the winter, but can still be used all season. No need to worry about switching them over. Please reach out to us today and ask about your tire options.

So the sun is out and you think it’s a perfect day to hit the range. While you can enjoy the sun, it is the wind that makes it miserable. Adding an enclosure to your golf cart can help block some of that wind. Obviously, it won’t help you when it’s freezing out, but on the days where it is in between it can make a huge difference. Prices and availability will vary depending on your make, model, and year. Reach out to us for more details.

These are only a few of the options available for winterizing your golf cart. Some customers have installed steel enclosures for work carts, heaters, and even plows. It all comes down to your needs. At LEGC we can make just about anything happen so reach out us with any questions or ideas you have.
